Check Out the Orange Leap On Demand February, 2010 Feature Release on Confluence

We have made several improvements and incorporated some new features throughout the OrangeLeap On Demand product. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Gift Summary Information: Within the context of each constituent, a Gift Summary page has been added.  Within this page are different tabs, rendering gift calculations of first gift, last gift, largest gift, fiscal year total, and calendar year total, for each of the gift entities: Gifts, Soft Gifts, Pledges, Recurring Gifts, and Gifts in Kind.  There is also a tab that combines Gifts, Soft Gifts, and Gifts in Kind into one total and one total for projected Pledges and Recurring Gifts.
  • Batch and Post Process: A batch wizard has been created for you to batch update one or more fields associated with records within a gift or adjusted gift segmentation.  By selecting a Posted Date, the batch process will post each gift or adjusted gift record, locking them down from futher edit and creating the appropriate debit and credit journal entries. The batch process is accessible based on your role.
  • Check Payment Method: If you are using electronic checks, you now have the ability to input a check payment method to manage the Account Number and Routing Number — it is similar to a ACH payment method. Thus, you can select an exsting check profile for a gift or create a new one, similar to creating a new ACH or credit card payment profile.  As with ACH, cardholder name, routing number, and account number are required; routing and account numbers are encrypted once input.  For any check payment, you now have the ability to input the check date that defaults to today’s date.  We do not yet have the ability to process electronic checks; this will be a future release.
  • Fuzzy Search Wildcard Support: The fuzzy text search on constituent now supports appended wildcards.  Therefore, you can now input a partial form of a field with an asterisk at the end to support Starts With types of search.  If you have an organization titled Johnson Foundation, if you input john*, all records that have constituent values that start with john will render in the search results — this would include Johnson Foundation.
